You’ve probably noticed I haven’t been posting as often and in fact haven’t actually put a post up since a week or so ago. I also see I’ve lost some RSS subscribers and that’s to be expected.

I’ve recently been busy at other project ideas I’ve had that will allow me to (hopefully) generate some money coming in and will then pick back up where I left off here and bring all of you some GREAT products and information in the future.

What this means for me: Hopefully actual income as I have plans on buying a car the middle of next year and plan to be completely out of debt before doing so and also plan to have a decent amount of money saved up before getting out of debt as well. So it kinda all plays together.

What this means for you: I’m letting you get a sneek peak at a project I JUST launched and will see if anyone likes the idea and then I’ll be taking action and put it into play. If no one does, no big deal and I venture on.

Also… I will not be updating BluePop13.com nearly as often. You can call this a break if you’d like to but I don’t have a set schedule for if and when I’ll be posting. I’m putting my efforts into other projecets and venturing out from there.

I’ll still post on here every once in a while if I have something in mind I feel I can offer of value but if not, you know me, I won’t post.

Pop Posts are still welcome and if you’d like to actually take upon yourself the responsibility of writing for my site more often as if “I” were here then please contact me and we’ll work something out. No one should be obligated to do so however.

I’M NOT GONE. I’m simply making the choice to take a break from this site and focus completely on other sites and may update this once in a while.

That being said, if someone does decide to write for this site and things get worked out, I may comment on here once in a while to posts being put up but I won’t be here all of the time.

Thanks for all the support from everyone who has helped grow this blog up.

NOTE: Monthly Experience will also be on pause for this so if you’re interested in any suggestions or ideas with that again, please contact me and we’ll work something out.

Now…

Here is a project I’m currently just starting and I thought I’d share it with you all:

Two weeks ago I thought I’d put up a fun post just asking everyone to ask me any two questions they’d like in order to get to know me better. The response was pretty awesome and I had a lot of fun putting together the video for all of this.

I hope the video turns out well… It took a while to set up as I made some mistakes with it at first.

Either way, here is the video and the text to follow.

Here is the FULL video and I really hope this all turned out well and is in order and all. Below this is each video seperated.

Enjoy!

I’ve been working to get the video to show up on the site. It’s on my Vimeo account. If it doesn’t show up below simply watch the full video here: Answer To Your Questions.

What social media site or website is your best referring source of traffic?

My best source of traffic is direct as well as a few blogs such as andbreak.com and some other I’ve not heard of until recently. Ultimately however, where I commend at and where I guest post are also great traffic grabbers.

What’s your typical blogging schedule look like?

My blogging schedule actually isn’t steady but I work hard each day to put in the hours necessary to get what needs to be done. With my 3 month old little girl it can be trying at times but I love her enough to be there for her 100% as well as put the hours into my blog here.

I’m most creative in the morning and jot ideas down so that I can get things done throughout the day if she’s sleeping or something like that. I normally get up around 8 to 10 and she’s already up so pen and paper are my “best friends” lol.

Thanks so much for those questions, Jean!

What got you getting started to build your blog?

Honestly, heartbreak.

I’ve already been a kind of person who wanted something different out of life than the regular 9 to 5 crap. It may be for some but just isn’t for me. I love my freedom too much and because my girlfriend and I were in fights and I ended up getting my heart broken, I turned to finding something of a hobby to get myself into and my mind off of how I was feeling. I found Yaro Starak’s blog and on from there discovered so many more great blogs and only continued to get deeper into this thing called blogging.

What are your methods of marketing for your blog?

Mainly Twitter, Facebook, commenting, guest posting, my mailing list, youtube and so fourth. I actually just recently got my mailing list up and am glad I did. Mine’s not like most out there however and there’s some goodies inside if you sign up.

I really just work hard at being me and getting myself out there to show what I’m all about and give all that I can. I also fully believe in over delivering whenever possible.

Thanks for those questions, Dev – Seriously!

What niche are you in?

I’m in the blogging niche or as you could put it, the helping other bloggers and people improve their blog using simple techniques. I know it’s a huge market and I’m not making money yet but it’s fun and I truly enjoy connecting with people and helping people solve problems.

What plugins you used in this blog?

Honestly, a lot. I’m not going to list all of them here but if you look at my site you will see some of the obvious plugins. For the COMPLETE list just watch the video. I actually read off every single plugin currently installed and activated on my blog.

Why do you use MailChimp and what are the benefits?

I really can’t compare anything to Aweber but I will say that MailChimp is awesome because it has all the main features I think you would need to create a good mailing list and it’s free. I go into more detail in the video and also would love to hear anyone’s opinion on either Aweber OR MailChimp.

Thank you for your questions Elisha!

Do you have a monetary goal in mind with what you’d like to earn online (and if so, what is it?)?

I do and it’s rather high but with this blog somewhere around $1,000 to $5,000 a month roughly some how. Over all, can’t say and it will have to be done with niche sites and more blogs. More detail in the video as always.

Who are some bloggers that you’d like to do a joint venture with?

I haven’t found anyone specific but I would like to find like-minded people who have the same goals I have and are ready to go into the same projects as I am and who I can really connect with on a more personal level than just my blog.

Thanks for your questions, Jillian!

Julius asked:

How do you particularly find new ideas to write about?

I mostly find ideas from just about anywhere. A lot of times from other blogger’s comments and blogs in general. Also from my daughter and the world around me. I pretty much have ideas come to me and I know I’d better write them down for later so that I stay ahead of the game.

Which stats do you pay the most attention to? (Alexa, Google, etc)

I don’t pay much attention to stats for the most part but I am more now and I use Google Analytics. I use that because I like it and I think it works well for the most part. I do look at both just not all the time.

Thanks for your questions, Julius!

Jeffrey Morgan asked:

What is your educational background?

I’m a High School Graduate from Southeast Polk. Go Rams! Hell, I still miss High School and would go back to school if I could which is probably a good sign I SHOULD look into college as there’s no time like the present.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? Not in terms of wealth, but rather in terms of personal growth.

Not sure actually. That’s my short answer. Actually I see myself having some assets and family taken care of and being out of debt. I also see myself setting some more personal goals and getting passed some fears I have such as driving in new and unfamiliar areas.

Lastly, careers wise, I see myself running multiple blogs and niche websites and making a great living online.

What pets do you have in your household?

I currently have NO pets in my household however my favorite animals are dogs. I love cats AND dogs but my favorite are dogs.

The animals I have/had in my life have been/are Lady (dog), Shadow (dog), Rex (dog), Benji (dog), Blue (cat), Koo (cat), Lenny AKA Lenny-Poo (dog).

Thanks so much for your questions, Jeffrey!

Do you have any major time and resource drains like a day job?

I DO have a daughter which makes it very difficult at times to get things done as I’m right now getting all of this finished and currently getting the video formatted and all and it’s 12:22 AM Friday (the day it’s going up). It’s late for me believe it or not but I’m doing this because I gave my word and this blog and the community is important to me.

My girlfriend is working full time and I’m a stay-at-home dad and “full-time” blogger working my ass off to build this blog up to make sure it makes great value to people and eventually brings in money.

What is your favorite resource for tips on how to make your blog look good.

I honestly don’t have many tips for you on this one but I will recommend a few ideas here. One being that I would talk to TravisAMorgan about a logo/design and such as he did The InfoPreneurs logo. I also recommend Heather from ShadesOfADream.com/blog as she knows 3D art very well.

Other than that I just recommend playing around with Thesis as it’s a killer blog theme and has a lot of powerful potential in my opinion.

I’ll get you a link to a service I used a while back and was pretty happy with. They set up the entire blog for just a dollar and I really like what they had to offer. As the video says, even now, I’m trying my best to get all things set up here and get this post up on time for later today so I’ll get you the link sometime around this weekend.

Thank you very much for your questions, Pete!

Who are your three favourite authors (not necessarily, but preferably. of fiction)?

I don’t necessarily have three favorite authors but if you read Wednesday’s post you will know who my all-time favorite author is. Larry Winget. I also really enjoyed Gary’s Crush It even though I don’t have a copy of my own.

I read quite a bit but a lot of what I read is blogs and I really do need to read more books.

You have a time machine that can take you anywhere and any when. What are your first three destinations?

1st. Back to when I was 13 years of age because my grandmother was still alive and I miss her greatly. We had a fantastic relationship and she was the best person I ever knew. She was also a huge inspiration in my life.

2nd. When I turn 25 years of age I’d like to see my buddy Pal who lives in the Netherlands. We’ve been great friends now JUST online for about 11 years and I’ve never met him. We talk all the time and I’ve also never been out of the USA so I think It’d be great fun to venture out and meet him and see what his world is like.

3rd. I would absolutely love to see what the year 3000 brings. See what the world has become and how technology has progressed. Who wouldn’t? And I highly doubt I’m going to live long enough to see that year so that would definitely be a place I’d go.

Thanks for the amazing questions there Steve!

What’s your ultimate goal for this blogging adventure you’re on?

My ultimate goal for this blog is really to connect with people and build up a strong community and help solve problems and create great business that delivers excellent performance and quality.

How many hours a day or a week do you devote to the whole shebang — writing, marketing, networking, making videoes, etc.

Quite a bit of time actually, Abby. About five hours each day doing all of it and sometimes more.

Some random person on YouTube asked:

What is your favorite food?

Pizza.

Why doesn’t my girlfriend love me?

Last Wednesday I put up a blog post called changes are coming, pop post anyone? This week I haven’t got those pop posts up as I’m still getting it all organized and ready to go. Next week I should have some so we’ll see how that comes along.

I received a comment by Darren L Carter on that post saying that he liked how I call my guest posts pop posts because it gives it style in my case and I appreciate when people see that. I visited his site since he was nice enough to visit mine and leave a comment and I watched the video on his site.

Great video btw, seriously!

Here’s my video on this:

In his video he talks about your dreams and having an idea of what kind of life you want to live and how you’re going to get there. I like that because everyone should have huge dreams but should also know how they’re going to achieve those dreams. If you don’t, get some.

There’s no time like the present and honestly I love that people follow their dreams and build up great sites all around that idea. I also like how he talks about the fact that he’s living a pretty awesome life style right now himself.

I currently am blogging mostly full time right now but not earning an income from it yet. That’s my dream. Provide great value to people and be able to live off the income I’ll make with my blog so that I can support my family and have the freedom to do more of what I desire in my life and each out to more people.

All that being said, what’s your deams and what’s your plans on achieving those dreams?

This is going to be a series of posts I’m going to be doing here at BluePop13.com. I wanted to get this out of the way just to clear out the blogosphere a bit and give bloggers a chance to decide if blogging is really something they want to stick with or not.

By no means is this personal but I encourage everyone who currently blogs on a regular basis to think about this and decide if they are blogging for any of these reasons or not.

The three reasons to never start your blog are:

You expect money right away

Your blog offers no service to others

You’re not going to stick with it

Lets examine these a bit closer with some detail.

You expect money right away – If you’re seriously thinking that you can post a few articles a week and in maybe a month’s time, good luck with that, really, because I highly doubt it’s going to happen. You absolutely can make money with your blog (I’m not yet but will be) but money shouldn’t be the only reason you’re blogging in the first place. Money is always something we need but with blogging, it’s a long wait and a lot of work and if you’ve read this on others blogs and now you’re here and you’re still not getting it, you might want to think about why you blog in the first place.

Your blog offers no service to others – There has to be meaning to your blog. In fact, without any purpose for your blog no matter how well it’s designed or how great the content is, you’re not really going to get anywhere. You want to provide some kind of service or inspiration or something that will help and solve problems for other bloggers and other people. This is important if you’re going to be blogging and turning it into a business. Have a reason to blog more than just to share great ideas.

Even if you’re just sharing ideas, make them killer ideas!

You’re not going to stick with it – If you don’t plan on sticking with it then why start in the first place, honestly? You want to keep at is and keep providing value for others and keep going until… Well, until there’s no reason to blog anymore. That shouldn’t be for a very long time, if ever. Get a schedule and stick to it or at least make sure to stick close to it and keep pumping out great content and keep getting involved and learning new ways to improve as you go.

Test and retest and see what works for you. You’ll never know until you go out there and make it happen. Everyone has ideas come to them and everyone has some time to write to their blog if they have one and above that, the basics of blogging is pretty simple so there’s no reason to start something and not finish it up.

What three reasons can you think of to never start blogging?

I was just over at Hot Blog Tips watching the video Keith posted about having a plan. It made me think about some things that for some reason so many people are doing and yet I wonder if they’re actually making money or just talking the talk. It’s a rather hott issue but I just wanted to see what you all think.

1. Follow The Right Crowd

I have this trouble quite a lot myself and it can even be a scary thought when you know the right people are giving you advice because it’s advice you really should take. But that’s just it. How do you know it’s advice you should be taking?

A lot of bloggers say to blog about what you’re passionate about and the money will follow. However, there does have to actually be some competition for you to make money because what you’re blogging about has to be profitable, right? Yes. So, follow the crowd that says you should blog about what you know and not just about what you’re reading others blog about.

Same in life, do what you know and don’t just follow a crowd who does something and you’re seeing them achieve success at.

2. Do Your Own Thing

You ultimately have to just do something and it comes down to doing it on your own. You can definitely have help from others but you still have to just go after it and do it and make something out of yourself. If you want it just go after it and keep going until you get it. Blogging? We’re all blogging because we’re writing articles like this and talking about whatever we’re talking about. Does it make some people upset? Sure. Does it make other people happy? Sure does. But we’re doing it and even though not everyone is making money we’re still going for it and just doing it. So do that.

What do you do and what crowd do you follow?

I had this title sitting in my drafts for a while now and decided now was the best time to write to it and publish it. My reason is because things do come down to you and I learned that a bit more today when 1) I didn’t have a blog post ready for you all for tomorrow and 2) because I’m still getting used to things around this area of town and realize that the only reason I’m a bit uncomfortable still is because I haven’t yet ventured out into it.

Make Things Familiar

These are in no particular order which makes this make even more sense. I’m having to quickly learn to become familiar with the area I’m living in and am slowly doing that. I still miss my old town (I don’t live THAT far away) quite a bit and I understand that as time goes on and I get used to things, everything will quickly fall into place. It just takes action along with time. That’s because time alone does nothing. Action alone does something.

Bottom line here, get familiar with stuff and keep venturing out and then your life will surely get more familiar.

Keep Learning

This one is so warn out yet completely worth mentioning over and over gain. I have to keep telling myself that learning will never quit and understand that I will always be discovering new things and finding out what’s going on around me. Learning is always important because if you CAN learn something why shouldn’t you? It’s fun. It’s entertaining. It’s an experience that just might change your life… You never know.

Do What’s Important

You have to and there’s no way around it. Seriously. You might get “lucky” for a good long while but ultimately what it comes down to is that you have to do what’s important. What’s important? You already know because you’re already doing it. That’s what it is. It’s so simple because you will always do what’s important and if you’re not doing something that you actually SHOULD be getting done, it WILL come back to bite you in the butt eventually.

What I’m saying here is find out and get it done and be happy. Really, completely happy.

Make Happiness

This is where it’s at. You’re happy when you’re getting things done, learning new ways of getting things done and of course are always keeping yourself familiar with what’s going on.

There IS more to happiness than this but it comes down to these things in my opinion. I’m exactly where I want to be in life because I have no written plan or idea where I want to be. I’m slowly getting goals figured out for myself and until I have a clear idea of where I want to go, I’m obviously completely happy with where I am.

If you’re not happy then write down what you KNOW will make you happy and go for it. No one is stopping you. In fact, I’m sure you can find people who will love to help you because those people want to see you happy.

Now… How this all comes down to you is pretty simple. You’re in control of you and everything in your life is a result of your actions. We all need others in our lives but ultimately your happiness and your life comes down to you. You’re responsible so go create the life you want and be happy with what you get.

What do you think?

We have a baby! She’s is beautiful and I couldn’t wait to get on here to write up a blog post about our new addition to the family but have not been around or had much time to get online lately. We came home from the hospital just a few days ago (I stayed with Samantha until she came home ) and now I’m looking for full time work. We’re going to have to have the money in order to take care of things. I am looking harder than ever at monetisation for this blog but not exactly sure how I want to go about it just yet.

Our Little Girl

Erica

She’s amazing and sure has a set of lungs. We brought her home she didn’t sleep too much on the first night but slept much better last night. Erica JoLynn was born on March 18, 2010 at 4:19 A.M. And is named after Me (obviously) and Samantha (my girlfriend’s) middle name and then Samantha’s Mom’s middle name. She is precious and we couldn’t be happier. I’m quickly learning how clueless I am when it comes to babies but am getting there. I’ve never really been around babies so this is a very new experience for Dad lol.

And I’m loving it!

Opportunities

Talking to Terri (Girlfriend’s Mom) yesterday I found out that John Deer is hiring Assembers right now so I’m going to go for that and see if I can get a job. It probably isn’t easy to get on as it’s John Deer but I can go for it and see what happens. Hey, what’s the worst they can say: No? Well, I at least gave it a shot then! And if I don’t get on there, there’s more places around that I know will hire me (hopefully) and again, I’m always working on seeing what I can do about making money blogging also. I’ve never given up that dream and never will. Why should I? It would be an awesome job, killer hours, great to work with so many other people (bloggers) and I could basically do what I’m doing now and so much more.

Mom And Dad

I’m learning a lot right now about how to take care of a baby and about how time is flying with having a new born and about this blogging stuff. I’m not making money yet so it’s something I really want to make happen more than ever.

Samantha has been around babies and has a good idea (here and there, we’re both learning quickly) about what to do and when. I’ll get there as I know I’m going to have a good long many years and figuring out what to do next lol. Either way, we’re having fun with the experience and couldn’t be happier.

What’s Next?

What’s coming up next is that I’m getting a job and either managing time with blogging and my family some how or putting this blogging thing on the side (just for a while, or a long while) until things start to go pretty smooth. If they don’t that’s fine because I love my family and want to be there for them. This will happen in due time as far as making money online goes.

So… To recap… A new baby, a new home, new life lessons being learnt, new opportunities awaiting… Wow, what isn’t new?

What does everyone think?

I actually as I write this, right above the title of this post you’re reading have another title for another post (hopefully a guest post, I’ll find out soon) and just had to write this one while it’s fresh in my mind.

I was, ok, I’m almost always over at James site reading what he has to say and now watching what he has to say and I visit a lot of different blogs most of the week. I really do try to get out there and comment and add a bit of who I am each and every day as much as possible even though I only post about three times a week at the moment.

That being said, here’s why I do that.

You And Them

You have to build up a community of people and it doesn’t matter if they’re big or small because the bigger community you have the stronger you’ll all be. You’re not just doing this for yourself but for everyone all at the same time. You’re helping them help you and helping them once again.

You leave comments and do guest posts and build relationships that last over time and you solve their problems and help them solve your problems and you take full responsibility for all you’ve done. And why do you do this? Because it’s about you but you have to be with them if you want anyone to notice you. It’s all give and take and the sooner you learn this the better of you’ll be.

Be Everywhere

This kinda ties in with you and them as it’s what it says, be everywhere. You have to be on the low and and on the high end of the scale. Be known around the world on hundreds of different blogs and hopefully be known as a good person. Either way, be known and be everywhere. People will start to take notice and will help you out because of what you’re already doing. Back to the first idea about give and take. You and them. So be everywhere you can possibly be.

Value

This is important and ties into it all too. Add value to everything you do. Make sure you always do the best you can wherever you go and with whomever you’re with. Give something great and expect nothing and usually something will come your way. If you do want something just ask. You’ll never known until you get it. But ultimately give, give, give and make it incredible value for everyone you can. It will be noticed and things will happen.

Never Stop

Why would anyone ever stop? There’s no reason to. Life goes on after someone dies and it hurts very much but life still goes on. There’s a time for greiving but you still have to go on and go back to work and go back to your normal life. You just can’t stop. Keep going and if you’ve given value to good people and have lots of them behind you then they will help pick you up when you fall. The importance of building something great from the start. So go for it and never stop!

Why It Matters

It all matters because it should matter. That’s basically it. It has a purpose and everything you do in this world matters for one reason or another. Why what you do matters to you specifically is only a question you can answer truthfully but make it matter if nothing else. Life’s too short not to.

Just go for it and discover the reason why because as I’ve said in guest posts (maybe) and my own blog posts, the reason why is crucial to doing anything. Build it up because it’s important to you and find a reason why so it’s strong and will help you carry on.

Where You Want To Be

Figure this out so you have a goal, a limit and a timeline. You can never be perfect but that’s where most people get confused. There’s always improvement so for now figure out what you want to be and just go for it. If you have a focused idea then you’re at least half way there because that idea is the light at the end of the tunnel for you to seek out and venture into.

Make the most of things and simply figure it out. If you want to be rich with your blog and you hear one hundred people saying it can’t be done. Take that advice and run with it as far as you can and find two hundred people more who say it can be done but tell you that your blog sucks if that’s what you’re wanting to do. Use both sides to help you. Figure out where you want to be and then how to get yourself there with the help of everyone include your own self.

So… Who have you helped today and how far have you gotten from yesterday?

We all know that it takes hard, consistent, progressive work and a long period of time in order to make this blogging thing work or make any good money online unless you happen to have something rare and worth a lot of money to throw up on ebay. So why is it that we’re still following the advice of people who say we can get rich quick by tomorrow by reading this document they wrote for us if we know better?

I’m confused.

Our Fault

It’s our fault. We believe in the get rich right now stuff because we simply want to believe that this is finally the answer and that this person knows how it’s done. No they don’t! Who the hell are they to you any way?! Do you know them personally and if so what are you listening to them for if they’re telling you that you can make a thousand dollars by tomorrow? Ok. I’ll believe it if they literally are going to send me a personal check just because they’re that damn stupid with their money just for reading their pdf. Sure, then I’ll believe I can get rich quick.

If not that, quit being so stupid about this stuff!

What Can We Do?

Care, Work, Make Progress, Be Consistent, Never Give Up, Move On, Learn, Repeat.

Want more? Read Larry Winget’s books on personal development.

You’re Broke Because You Want To Be

It’s Called Work For A Reason

People Are Idiots And I Can Prove It

Shut Up, Stop Whining, And Get A Life

No Time For Tact: 365 Days of the Wit, Words, And Wisdom of Larry Winget

Your Kids Are Your Own Fault

Those are the books of his I currently own and have read them all at least once.

Main focus is on you and for this blog post I recommend and suggest It’s Called Work For A Reason.

What We Know Works

We all know what works and if you take the s off that word it’s what we all know. Work. That’s what works. And lots of it. Just get out there and figure out how to make what you love doing into money and start doing it. It’s not bad or mean or cruel if you do it right. Want to know how to do it right? Sorry but I’m not exactly qualified to tell you because I’m not yet making any money. Ask David Risley or Yaro Starak or Darren Rowse or James Richmon (he’s going to be making money much sooner than me at his rate).

Just get out there and care about something and do it. That’s what works.

Why We Quit

We quit because we believe what we’re told about getting rich quick because we would love to believe that finally we’ve found the answer. When we once again realise that it is going to take what everyone else tells us about hard work and the long hall, we give up.

That’s our biggest mistake.

The Truth

The truth is never what you really want to hear so I don’t blame you if you don’t like what you’re about to hear.

The truth about this is that WE give the big guys a reason to keep promoting the idea of work hard because we keep buying into the idea of getting rich quick. We get disappointed and once again, the big guys have another job just rewording things so we are once again informed correctly. Do we listen? Maybe. But maybe not and then once again the cycle continues.

There you have it. My opinion of why we give the gurus business is because we buy into what we want to believe and then find out the truth.

What do you believe? What have you done to make it out there so far? What could you do better or haven’t you done yet? What’s something that maybe you’ve fallen for and now know better?

Please share your thoughts.

This post is a big deal to me. In fact, this post is so important and it is so true and I will admit that I got my inspiration from a couple of places I would like to mention here.

I was reading Rob Sutton’s Secret to Success – One Step Process and it was just about what I thought it would be. Why is this good? Because it goes to show that my mind is on the right track and I am thinking the right things.

My other source came from a very familiar site which is over at TheInfoPreneur.net. It was actually a guest post there that brought about this thought though. Check out If You’re A Consistent Blogger, You’re Dead.

Now on to my post.

You have heard about taking action and if you haven’t then I’m not sure where you’ve been and I’m also not sure I want to be where you’ve been hiding. Action is huge. The right kind of action is even bigger than huge. And it’s not complicated. Taking action is better than taking no action at all and taking the right action comes from learning from mistakes we make and correcting those mistakes for the next time around.

See? Simple.

The finest things in life really are just simple and the reason they’re over looked. We are the ones who make things so damn complicated that we scare ourselves into thinking that we can’t do anything about anything.

Fear

Everyone gets scared but the best part about this is that usually what you fear the most will help you get past what you need to in order to get you one step ahead in life. You need to use fear as a motivator to get past all the fluff and all the feel good crap.

Feeling good is not crap but if it’s not helping you get through tough times or helping you get to the next level of your life then it’s not doing you any favors. Use fear to get you there. THEN feel good. The further you get, the better the feeling good part will get. Don’t believe me? That’s fine but you’ll never know until you give this a shot.

Comfort

We know we all want this. In order to get this you have to go through a bit of fear every now and again and the reason is because it is what makes you better and gets you through life. Everyone fears and those who take action and plunge through it are the ones who get comfort at the end of the road or success. Both comfort and success are very different though used here are very much the same thing.

Use comfort as a means of getting through the fear and where you exactly want to be. Example: You are terrified for whatever reason of getting this new job because you are so used to working where you currently are at for so long. This would be fear obviously. You really want more money and have a written down plan for what you’re going to do. You are excited and can just see a clear picture of what is going to happen once you land the job. It’s not the job itself that is such a great opportunity but what you are going to be able to do and have planned by getting the job that is such a great thing. This would definitely be comfort.

So the next time you’re worried about something, ask yourself just how happy you are with your current results. Then, think of what you could do even more of if you took the step into your fear and what could come out of it. Use that one thing, the step, to drive you towards what you could do if you succeeded.

Last but not least I want to just touch on failure.

If you take that step and have a great idea all planned out and maybe even written down (great!) and end up not getting through that step. I can now think of two things that are going to happen.

You are going to be upset for not getting through the step of fear and get down on yourself. This isn’t bad because you can just go back and look at what went wrong and go for it again, using a different method if you’re really serious about getting through it.

You are terrified that you’re going to have to go through it again and you may just need an extra shove in the right direction and made a revised plan just in case something goes wrong again. This is the part where you need to learn to have a plan B. In fact, and this is a quote from my favorite author, the only time you don’t need a plan B is when you already have one.

So there you have it.

This didn’t go into great detail about taking action but I hit things how I thought necessary. But what exactly do you do to get yourself through rough times and back into being comfortable after achieving great accomplishment with yourself? Key word, yourself. Do things for yourself yet serve others well.

So I’m asking a couple questions here:

What steps do you take to get yourself through the times of tragedy and back to being comfortable?

How do you keep yourself going?

Do you always have a plan B?

If you do end up “failing” do you just give up or how do you get yourself back on the right path and go after it again and how do you know when you’ve learned from your mistakes?

Please leave a comment below. Thank you.
