Every day of our lives we’re going to make mistakes of some kind. You can’t avoid it which makes it obvious that they’re going to happen and may even make you wonder what the point is of correcting them. Simple. To learn and improve yourself so better things start coming your way.
But what if you’re happy with your current results and yet a mistake still haunts you?
Don’t Try Avoiding
Yes I said don’t try avoiding your mistakes. Let them come naturally but what you do about learning from them you should definitely not take lightly or they’ll just repeat themselves. Always let mistakes happen in order to learn from them but work hard not to make the same mistakes more than once. That’s the key, learning from them. When you try and avoid making a mistake you know is coming or even don’t know, you’re not going to learn anything.
I’m not saying to purposely make mistakes but when they happen, be ok with them and go on.
The Point Of Learning
So, with all this taking action stuff being said everywhere and learning from mistakes and the fact that nothing is ever going to be perfect no matter how hard we work to make it that way, what’s the freakin’ point of learning in the end anyway?
Damn good question!
To know.
Tha’ts it. I’m not going to rant on about something I can make as simple as two words. We learn new things in order to know them. Why? Because the more you know and who you know is better than not knowing and not experiencing. You can get more detailed about that but I’m not going to right here.
The point is, learn so that you know. Great example: Your car breaks down. You have no idea what went wrong and people start telling you it’s a piece of crap and that they’ll happily buy it from you. It’s not a bad car and you haven’t had it long. You have no other source of transportation to use to get around except your feet. You have a job and no money in savings for repair. You feel screwed and maybe you are.
Are you going to listen to them and sell your car to them for money without knowing what went wrong just because they all say it’s bad and they’d just rather take it off your hands and give you some cash for it or are you going to take matters into your own hands and figure out what went wrong and find out if it’s worth selling to them or saying screw them and fixing ‘er up?
That’s up to you but the least I would do personally is figure out what went wrong and then make the decision. If you know, you’re better off. If you don’t, well, that’s just it, you don’t know.
Let Negativity Be The Guide To Positivity
Some people are going to be negative about a lot of things. I’ve been through some shit at the end of last year that made me more negative than ever before. I’m a pessimist at heart and have been working on being an optimist and so far so good for me.
If you let negativity show you how you don’t want to be and take advice from those kinds of people and just learn from how horrid they are and understand you’re better than that, that’s good. Let them be your guide to understanding what you don’t want out of life and discovering how great your life can truly be. It can if you let it. It also can be horribe if you let it. It’s up to you to decide though.
So what do you think? Do you let your mistakes guide you or do you hide from it all and never move on in life and learn to face new challenges and become a better person?
