With 2010 finally upon us we are creating a new world of opportunities that will take us far beyond our imagination. I’m sure you have goals set for this year to take you as far as you can possibly go if not further. I am setting my own goals as well and doing what I can to make them a reality for me.
This being said I want to mention something I discovered last year that I was skeptical about at first and actually turned out to work great as I now have another blog project I’m working on and will announce more details about next month.
I didn’t know what to expect and I must say that I definitely got my money’s worth. It’s called Social Media Training Lab and it literally only costs you a penny. Seriously. How much cheaper can you get something for? Obviously you can’t go cheaper which is why it surprised me that this wasn’t something that was too good to be true.
The wait time was a big longer than they said it would be and I have to look at the fact that it was right around Christmas Day so that could definitely have something to do with it.
I will announce my brand new blog project next month and you will see what they did for me. I am glad I signed up and I’m glad I paid my penny. I actually bought a new domain so it didn’t cost me just a penny but had I not needed a domain it would have.
I would love to hear what you have to say about Social Media Training Lab. All you pay is a penny. What do you think about this?

Hey Eric!
I tool a quicl look at the landing page for Social Media Training Lab.
I’ve seen dozens of similar offers – I wouldn’t mind getting some more details about your experience with this one…How about a follow up post or comment with some more bread and buster of what this training lab is all about?

Hey Don,
Sure.
Well, I’m not sure where I found Social Media Training Lab at now that I think back but I know it sounded really too good to be true and I wasn’t going to do it at first. I keep listening and they just had me convinced it’s what I’d need if I wanted to make it and do things the right way. I took a chance and hey, it’s pretty cool stuff.
Details: Basically you simply click through the links and watch the video and follow as they explain. You pay your penny and that’s for the hosting for the first month because you’re going through them. If you buy a domain then you spend about 11 dollars. You give them your information and they log into your account and set up everything for you and design your blog to be seo friendly and even let you pick a premium theme for free.
That’s basically it. It’s realistic and it works. I’m starting up my project next month that I had them build for me and am very excited about it.
Hope this helps and good luck. Let me know what you do and what your experience is. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Eric,
I’m with Don on this one, it will be great to be able to hear your experiences with this company first hand. Perhaps you could add a special category just for this project so it will be easy to keep tab on your experiences as you write about them?
I look forward to seeing how things develop,
Eleanor
Eleanor, hey!
I’m sure it sounds interesting to many people about this Training Lab experience of mine. We’ll see what the future holds as far as adding a category; that does sound like a good idea to me.
As far as explaining about my experience I’ll be launching a new blog project (no, I’m not shutting BluePop13 down) that I had them set up for me so everyone will see some of their work. I’m excited and can’t wait.
As time gets closer to February I’ll post an article on here about the new project so check back often.
Thanks.
Cool. I started http://www.donpower.me from a premium theme – Thesis because I researched it and everyone said it was SEO friendly and you wouldn’t have to code a thing. WRONG!
It is an SEO friendly theme (I think) but you still have to do lots of cosing to get it to look and behave the way you want it. I wasted a lot of my first month just trying to figure out the mechanics of it all.
I’d love to have a simpler solution for blog # 2 – I”m going to be launching a Daddy Blog very soon. One of the main things holding me up right now is to find an appropriate theme (for product reviews, multiple categories/subcatergories etrc.) that I don’t have to CODE CODE CODE!
I’d be tempted to go the Social Media Training Lab route but I’m skeptical – I also don’t want to get locked in to a differnt webhost than I”m using now (godaddy).
Anyway – Elanor is right. Creating a blog post series on your experience with SMTL would be of interest to a lot of folks.
IN any event – keep up the good work and thanks for continuing to support and comment on my blog! Look for an announcement of my new blog soon too!
Cheers!

Hey Don!
Yeah I’ve heard about Thesis and I’m actually going to buy it this year and see what I can do with it. The way I see it also is if you want more control over things just learning some basic coding would definitely improve the situation you’re in no matter who you are. I know HTML and some CSS. Beyond that, nothing lol.
Social Media Training Lab is a good service by my experience though someone else could have something different. I would recommend them if you don’t want to do the technical work of even installing WordPress and some behind the scenes work yourself.
They use GoDaddy for the domain and HostGator for the hosting and they set up the DNS forwarding for you. They actually don’t even ask for your personal information like credit card numbers or anything like that. They just need to login to your accounts with GoDaddy and HostGator in order to setup your blog so that’s all they really require.
Some people might say that since there’s no relationship there why give SMTL a shot? Well, honestly, it’s a penny. I’ll explain this in a blog post coming up later in the month so stay tuned.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts; I love the communication!
